The fan unit is a bit heavy and it makes a tight seal with the body of the distiller, so it could be a bit difficult for older users.
The glass carafe can leak when you pour it, so slow and steady is key to prevent that. Furthermore, the distiller burns deposits on the bottom if not turned off at the right time, leaving a slightly metallic taste. This is because it depends on its internal thermostat in order to automatically shut off, which may not always be accurate.
